Privacy Policy

What information Domicy uses, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

A.C Tsangarides LTD, which operates Domicy.org, is responsible for the information described here. Contact details are on Contact / Legal Details. Questions: partners@domicy.org.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, name if given, and sign-in details (including Google sign-in if you choose it).
  • Projects and tools: estimates, permit checks and project details you choose to save.
  • Quotations and documents: files you upload, and the figures read from them.
  • Usage records: a count of quote readings per account (date, file size, a file fingerprint and outcome) to apply fair-use limits and prevent abuse.
  • Browser drafts: unsaved tool inputs kept only in your own browser — see Cookies & Settings.

Domicy does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not sell personal information.

Quote uploads

You must be signed in to have a quote read. The file is processed by an automated reading service to extract items and prices. The result is reused for 24 hours so the same file is not read twice, and is removed when you delete your account. Your original document is never shown publicly or shared with partners or sponsors.

Anonymised price contributions

Having a quote read is separate from sharing its prices. Prices are only added to Domicy market ranges if you give a separate, specific agreement for that quote; no quote prices are shared this way today. If you agree in future, names, addresses, contact details, supplier identity and the original document are removed first, and figures are combined with other quotes.

Plot Finder, maps and search

When you use Plot Finder, your browser sends the point, parcel reference or parcel shape directly to the Department of Lands and Surveys (Cyprus) map and planning services. Address text goes directly to the Photon address search (komoot, Germany), and map images load from Esri and OpenStreetMap. These services receive your IP address as part of the request and apply their own terms. Short Google Maps links pass through our server once, only to read the full link; Domicy does not save them or your plot searches in its database, although standard hosting logs may briefly record requests. Plot Finder does not ask for your device location.

Service providers and transfers

Domicy is hosted on cloud infrastructure that stores accounts, files and database records, and uses an AI service to read quotations. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. To ask which providers are used and which transfer safeguards apply, email partners@domicy.org.

How long we keep information

  • Account, projects, quotes and documents: until you delete them or your account.
  • Cached quote readings: reused for 24 hours, removed when you delete your account.
  • Quote reading records (fair-use counts): kept until you delete your account.
  • Anonymised, combined market figures: may be kept after account deletion, as they no longer identify anyone.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your information, and object to its use. You can delete your account and its data from your account page at any time. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
